Kill The Drill - Join the Campaign to Oppose Gas Drilling in Upstate Watershed
At a press conference on October 1, 2009, Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer, joined by a coalition of elected officials and advocates, announced the launch of Kill the Drill, a campaign to extend the comment period for the State Generic Environmental Impact Statement and to voice opposition to any hydraulic fracturing in the city’s upstate watershed, which supplies 90 percent of New York City’s drink. . . more >
